What If Pistachio Went Pink? – The Pink Pistachio Rose Matcha

It started with a simple thought: pistachio is always green… but what if it went pink? From there came a little experiment with creamy pistachio, fragrant rose and our vibrant Pink Matcha. The result is soft, floral, nutty and just indulgent enough, the kind of drink that looks playful, tastes surprisingly elegant, and feels like a treat before you even take the first sip.

The richness of pistachio pairs beautifully with delicate rose, while Nebula Herbal Pink Matcha gives the drink its vibrant colour and smooth, fruity character. Finished with a soft rose cold foam and a pistachio-coated rim, it is an easy café-style recipe you can recreate at home.

Ingredients

For the drink

  • 4–5 g Nebula Herbal Pink Matcha
  • 2 shots pistachio syrup

  • Milk of your choice

  • Rose syrup, to taste

  • Pistachio cream, for the rim

  • Ice

For the rose cold foam

  • Cold milk or your preferred cold-foam base

  • A small splash of rose syrup

Method

Step 1 – Prepare the glass

Spread a small amount of pistachio cream around the inside edge or rim of your serving glass. This gives every sip an extra touch of creamy pistachio flavour.

Fill the glass generously with ice.

Step 2 – Add the Pistachio Base

Pour 2 shots of pistachio syrup into the glass.

Add your preferred milk, leaving a little room at the top for the Pink Matcha and rose cold foam. Blend until the mixture starts clumping together when squeezed between your fingers. It should hold its shape without feeling greasy.

Press the mixture firmly into the base of a lined 20cm cake tin, using the bottom of a glass to create an even layer. Place in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.

Step 3 – Prepare the Pink Matcha

Add 4–5 g of Nebula Herbal Pink Matcha to a small bowl or cup. Whisk with a small amount of water until smooth and completely combined.

Add a little rose syrup depending on how floral and sweet you would like the drink to be.

Step 4 – Build the drink

Slowly pour the prepared Pink Matcha over the milk to create a beautiful layered pink finish.

Step 5 – Make the rose cold foam

Froth cold milk with a small splash of rose syrup until light, creamy, and slightly thickened. Spoon or pour the rose cold foam generously over the top of the drink.

For an extra finishing touch, add a small sprinkle of crushed pistachios or dried rose petals.

Why Pistachio and Rose Work So Well

Pistachio brings a rich, creamy nuttiness while rose adds a delicate floral note that keeps the drink feeling light and elegant. Combined with the fruity, naturally colourful character of Pink Matcha, the result is indulgent without feeling overly heavy.

It works beautifully as an afternoon treat, a refreshing iced drink, or an eye-catching addition to a café-style drinks menu.

Make It Your Own

Prefer it sweeter? Add a little more pistachio or rose syrup. For a stronger matcha flavour, increase the Pink Matcha slightly. You can also use oat, almond, or coconut milk to create your own variation.

Serve immediately, give it a gentle stir, and enjoy the combination of pistachio, rose and Pink Matcha in every creamy sip.

Make it with Nebula Herbal Pink Matcha and bring a little colour to your everyday ritual.
